Shrimp Tom Yum / Tom Yum Goong
Shrimp Tom Yum or Tom Yum Goong must be one of the best known Thai dishes abroad. It's a subtle blend of hot and sour with citrus overtones derived from lime juice and kaffir lime peel. Be careful not to overcook the shrimps as they will become tough very easily.
Ingredients:
- Tom Yum Paste Lobo 1 packet
- Water 2 cups (480 ml)
- Shrimp 200 g.
- Mushroom 100 g.
- Fish sauce or salt
- Lime Juice
- Submerge the packet of Tom Yum Paste in hot water for 1 minute. Cut open, the paste will come out easily
Directions:
- Boil 2 cups (480 ml) water.
- Add contents of Tom Yum Paste Packet the boiling water.
- Add 200 g. deveined shrimp and 100 g. mushroom.
- Add fish sauce or salt and lime juice to taste.
